Court of Divine Justice

The Wake-up Herald

And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof. Romans 13:11-14

Court of Divine Justice

On October 28, 1986, three Pastors, Everett Sileven, Greg Dixon, and Robert McCurry, along with about 40 participants, held a Court of Divine Justice in front of the United States Supreme Court in Washington, D.C., not far from the Capitol Building.

These ministers, like the prophets of old, publicly testified against the evil men that have taken root in the government, and they called for God's intervention on behalf of the saints of God to stop the men in government who are destroying our nation. These men, many of which aren't even aware that they are the Covenant People of the Bible, nonetheless had the vision to perform this godly duty for which we owe them a debt of gratitude.

I understand that the gathering was well attended by FBI agents, uniformed police, TV camera crews, and newspaper reporters. However, I doubt that many of you saw the story in your newspapers, and I know of no TV news program that reported it. Apparently the liberal media wasn't anxious for America to know what really happened there that day. The police and newsmen were there in the hopes that someone would do something stupid so they could smear them in the headlines. But, everything proceeded orderly and they did what they had come to do.

Before the trial, copies of the indictment had been sent to all the accused. This indictment was then read publicly before the group there in front of the Supreme Court Building. A long list of defendants was named, including most of the heads of state. In the United States Government: the offices of the President, the offices of the Congress and Senate, the offices of the Supreme Court Justices, offices of the Justice Department, the offices of the Governors of the 50 States, the offices of the Legislature of the 50 States, the offices of the Internal Revenue Service, the Federal Reserve (System), the American Bar Association, and some others. The charges included breach of the oath of office, supporting and promoting murder, sodomy, theft, selective prosecution of ministers and churches, holding political prisoners, usury, and hatred of God and promoting of Humanism.

The law with which the case was judged was the law of God in the Christian Holy Bible and the United States Constitution. The remedy included: public repentance, restitution to the violated citizenry, release of all debt to the government and the people, and release of all political prisoners.

They asked God to either make the guilty ones repent, or to remove them in whatever way He chooses. While the average citizen is oblivious to what government is doing, and is supposed to do, I'm convinced that the men in the higher positions in government are fully aware of their own treachery. They obviously have no conscience nor do they feel guilty about their crimes perpetrated upon the public. They are ruthless beasts and care nothing about their fellow man and their nation. Money and force are the only things that impress them, but I'll wager that they'll be impressed when God starts removing them one by one.

"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God."(Heb. 10:31).

Polls indicate a growing distrust of government in America. It seems people can't quite figure out what it is that government is doing wrong but they sense the insincerity of the Bureaucrats. People are recognizing the politicians for the liars that they are but have no remedies. WHAT CAN WE DO?

Government can be a great force for good, or for evil. When the people of a nation discover that their government has become like a spoiled child: overgrown, unmanageable, and a trouble maker, what can the people do? By that time it is usually too late to ward off the problem: the government is already too big to control. Government usually grows into the greatest single force in the land, therefore when it goes bad it becomes the biggest PROBLEM in the land.

Thank God that in America we have a hope that rises above the corruption of men in government. That hope stems from the fact that we are a Covenant People, and our God is sovereign. Therefore, we have the option of appeal to a HIGHER AUTUORITY: Jesus Himself. Since He has "all authority in heaven and earth" (Matt 28:18), and "rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomsoever he wills" (Dan. 4:25), He is the one who has the last word on whether a government stands or falls, and which of the people in that government will stand or fall.

A quick mental recap of Biblical history will remind us that Moses, Isaiah, Elijah, Daniel, and other men of God at different times were called to stand before kings and magistrates to testify and warn them of the impending judgment of God, and sometimes to call that judgment down upon them. God can, and has removed evil people from government. Don't be surprised when He does it again.

GOD JUDGES THE JUDGES: Appealing to God's HIGHER COURT is a familiar theme in Christian history.

THE POINT IS THIS: In Christendom men have always recognized a higher court than that of men. Methods of appealing to God for judgment may change slightly with time, but for Christians who are trodden under foot by evil government, that higher court is still there.

"There is one lawgiver (God) who is able to save and to destroy" (James 4:12).

"For the LORD is our Judge, the LORD is our Lawgiver, the LORD is our King: He will save us"(Isa. 33:22).

"And shall not God avenge his own elect which cry day and night unto Him?"(Lk. 18:7).

"Shall the throne of iniquity (ungodly government) which frameth mischief by a law have fellowship with thee? .... And He shall bring upon them their own iniquity and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the Lord our God SHALL CUT THEM OFF"(Ps. 94:20 & 23).

THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL in the Egyptian captivity cried unto God and He sent them Moses. Moses stood before Pharaoh and told him to let Israel go free. That wicked ruler refused to listen and God's judgment fell upon Egypt and the Israelites received deliverance from Rameses, and again later at the Red Sea: (Ex. 2:23-25; 14:10-13, 21-22).

IN 1521, MARTIN LUTHER stood alone before the highest court in Europe for charges of heresy. The Emperor demanded that Luther recant and renounce the things he had learned from the Bible. Luther, knowing that his life was on the line, said:

"My conscience is captive to the Word of God. I cannot and I will not recant anything, for to go against conscience is neither right nor safe. Here I stand, GOD HELP ME."

He cried out to God for Divine justice. The result was that his life was spared, and the Reformation was begun, largely due to one man who had the guts and the faith to stand up and cry out against wickedness in government, and cry unto God to judge his case.

THE TIME HAS COME for Christians to pray for God's judgment to fall again upon evil men in government. The problem with government today is the evil men that take office with ulterior motives. It is true that the love of money is the root of all evil, and without a doubt that is the ulterior motive behind almost every politician. It is also true that an ungodly usury banking system is plundering and destroying our people. However, the banks couldn't ravage the land without government protecting them and providing legal ways for them to continue their theft and murders. Government itself is ultimately to blame.

One righteous man crying out against evil men in government can bring the walls down. October 28th, 1986, may well be a day to remember for certain Politicians, Bankers, Tax collectors, Judges and Lawyers.
