As Much As the Father

by Thomas A. Dooley

Nobody can love you
As much as the Father,
No mortal can save you,
So don't even bother.
Your face, a reflection of the Father's affection for you.

He gives us the will to
receive His Son, Jesus.
When we remain faithful
then nothing more pleases,
Your heart's a reflection of the Father's affection for you.

*Refrain
Love in your heart can be seen in the smile on your face (smile on your face).
Loving the Lord and receiving the gift of His grace (gift of His grace).
Oh thank You, Lord for the light
To find our way through this night.
Back to Your loving arms.

Nobody can help you
As much as the Father,
When you're feeling down,
and there's no one to bother.
Your eyes, the reflection of the Father's affection for you.

Nobody shall comfort
as much as the Spirit.
When trouble surrounds you,
there's no need to fear it.
Your soul's a reflection of the Father's affection for you.

*Refrain
Love in your heart can be seen in the smile on your face (smile on your face).
Loving the Lord and receiving the gift of His grace (gift of His grace).
Oh thank You, Lord for the light
To find our way through this night.
Back to Your loving arms.

Nobody can love you
As much as the Father,
No mortal can save you,
So don't even bother.
Your face, a reflection of the Father's affection for you.
