My Dear Sweet Evelyn
It broke my heart to lose you
On the day God called you home,
Part of me went with you
You didn’t go alone.
Many times I will think of you,
And many times I will cry,
If my love for you could have saved you
You never would have died.
Your loving husband,
Robert McCurry
