1 Corinthians 12

Diversity of gifts - but the same Spirit; differences in administration, but the same Lord; diversities of operations, but the same God

The diversity of gifts in the church body:

  • Wisdom
  • Healing
  • Knowledge
  • Faith
  • Prophecy (preaching)

As a body, we need the diversity of gifts.  The church is the only place that spiritual gifts will be blessed at their best ... within a group setting.

In James, Jesus said that if you're sick, call on the elders to pray for you  The elders are in a church!  So being a part of a church is where you get prayed for.  People who live within 1-2 hours of a church should strive to go to church as least once a month, if not more. If you don't live close to a church, move closer to a church.  Jesus came and died for the church, which is a body of members. The only Kingdom right now is in the church.

The body of Christ is the 'called out' Israelites. God is calling SOME people out who will be sitting on the throne for the rebuilding of the tabernacle of David, the House of David, the Temple, the government of the Kingdom and Zion (Acts 15 and Romans 9). However, not ALL Israelites will be called out in this age and there's nothing in the Bible that says ALL will be called out in this age.

Ephesians 4:1-7  Don't work on agreeing on doctrines, but rather work on unity of spirit.  We're not unified in doctrine and we never will be.  Verse 3:  "Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace"; Verse 13:  "Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ."

God said He will add to His Church.  God is going to give us leaders, gifts, tools and the power to defend ourselves against the enemy in these troubling times.
