Truth and Satire
The Wake-up Herald
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof. Romans 13:11-14

Truth and Satire
By Robert McCurry
“Gone to the dogs” means: “to decline, to be regarded as worthless, ruined or destroyed.” Thus the headline in the February 6, 2014 Wake-up Herald article, Government “marriage” goes to the dogs” is true; true adj, = Not false, fictional, or illusory; factual or factually accurate; conforming with reality; the information following the headline is satire; satire n. = 1. A literary work in which human vice or folly is attacked through irony, derision, or wit. 2. Irony, sarcasm, or caustic wit used to attack or expose folly, vice, or stupidity.
Although the story that a man “married his dog” that follows the Herald headline is satire, the whole American drama of “marriage” is now presented as satire rather than truth by educators, media, the occupant of the White House, and most pastors; the populous at large, including professing Christians, have little concern, don’t care, and are preoccupied and mesmerized with “let’s eat, drink, play and be merry” rather than facing the factual truth of God’s Word and His Law.
In the late 1950’s I was warning that America was living in “the lull before the storm”; in the 1960’s I warned about the coming sodomite and abortion wars that would shake America; my appeal was and continues to be, “Wake-up, America! Wake-up, Pastors! Wake-up, Christians!”
Who would ever have believed 50 years ago or even 5 years ago that the sodomite agenda and same-sex marriage would be government approved, endorsed, and protected? But they are. In recent times as the sodomite agenda has accelerated many have warned that an acceptance of same-sex marriage would open the floodgates to acceptance of other unbiblical marriage practices -- polygamous marriage, incestuous marriage, and human / animal marriage. It is not a matter of if such “marriages” will occur; it’s just a matter of when they will occur.
Government law that honors and protects God ordained biblical marriage has indeed “gone to the dogs”; it began long before the same sex marriage debacle.
Repentance and obedience to God’s perfect law is the only remedy.
Psalm 19
King James Version (KJV)
7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of theLord is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of theLord are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Wake-up, Pastors! Wake-up, Christians!
