Universalism On Trial - Part 3

Scripture Reading:  Matthew 13:35-43

Have you ever wondered what the world would be like if there weren’t any lies?  A world where truth is the only way.  Bearing false witness would no longer be a means to an end.  From the time a child is able to walk, the programming and processing has begun, whereby they are lied to and it continues throughout their lives in school, churches, government and media.  There are some who escape the matrix of deceptions and become knowledgeable of the truth, but they dare not speak out lest they be persecuted.  The rest of society lives in this ocean of disinformation.  Since the majority of people believe in the prevailing body of lies, they assume that it is the truth.  And hence, they make important life decisions that are all too often disastrous.

The trial against universalism will resume momentarily, but we shall keep a few things in mind before the closing remarks of the defense and the prosecution.  The biggest enemy of mankind is time.  James 4:14 says, “You don’t know what will happen tomorrow.  What is your life?  It is a vapor that appears for awhile and then vanishes.”  It is not within the power of all the creatures whom God has made to command one moment of what is to be the future.  Our times are not in our own hands, but at the discretion of God.  Our minds may be filled with the cares of this life and Providence will often confuse it.  We are made in His image and all that we do and design intelligently must be done in humble submission to the God of intelligent design.  God can and does place deterrents upon those who would boast that something is in their authority or of their own ability.  God alone can keep us from our own devices and make our plans prosper when they are in accord with His will.  “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof. Romans 13:11-14

Obama and Killing the Babies

Editor’s comment: President Obama has just trod all over Christianity by forcing the Catholic Church to compromise on the issues of life. Why should they be surprised? Their leadership bowed to their authority while they murdered the unborn. Why should a little ole pill matter? Government is the all powerful god that they fear most.

Why would the President force such a diabolical order on the Catholic Church? Because he can. Because Obama recognizes what a paper-tiger that politically-compromised “good-for-nothing” religious organization has become. Remember. What government can do to control Catholics, it can and eventually will do to control all Protestants and Baptists. ~Robert McCurry

During the last presidential election, Catholics voted by a margin of 55-45% for the most pro-death President in history. Of course, he started out by covering up the crucifix at Georgetown before delivering a speech, so as not to offend Muslims or Atheists, proceeded to declare that “America is not a Christian nation,”, then bowed before a Saudi king. Therefore, should we be surprised when this secular humanist, pro-abortion President now attacks religious freedom by backing regulations which force Catholic hospitals—against their will and the tenets of their religion—to fund and or even perform abortions or risk sanctions and closure?

Before it is too late and we re-elect the most pro-abortion politician ever to hit Washington, perhaps we should revisit Obama “family values.”

Scripture reading:  Leviticus 24:15, 16, 23

Israel failed to exterminate the Canaanite/jews when they went in the Promised Land. As a result of their failure to obey God, Israel were told not to kill them any longer. They were to let them live, but they were also to continue to not marry any of them or to make any covenants with them—for they were to be a test for them.

If Israel married any of them, they were told that they would serve their gods, not the other way around. That is, if they married them they would not or could not serve the God of the Bible; the God of Israel. The Canaanite could not ever serve our God. What were these people like? How different acting were they from Israel?
